2019 INVACARE WHEELCHAIR AUSSIE RULES NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS VICTORIAN SQUAD

The team that will represent Victoria at the 2019 Invacare Wheelchair Aussie Rules National Championships has been announced.

The 2019 Victorian squad includes three debutants, Anthony Perito, Ryan Smith and Yasmina McGlone, adding strength to the side that finished third at last year’s event.

The squad highlights the success of the Robert Rose Foundation Victorian Wheelchair Football League in identifying new talent and supporting players as they develop in the sport.

The National competition has an open classification system in place allowing people with and without a disability the opportunity to participate. This year will be the first time that all Victorian representatives identify as having a physical disability or impairment, which is a huge milestone for the AFL Wheelchair program in Victoria.

The 2019 Invacare Wheelchair Aussie Rules National Championships will take place at the St Claire Recreation Centre in Adelaide from April 11-13.

2019 Victorian Squad List

Peter Ogunyemi (HAWTHORN), Ryan Smith* (ST KILDA), Yasmina McGlone* (RICHMOND)

The 2019 Victorian team is proudly supported by AFL Victoria, Disability Sport and Recreation and the Robert Rose Foundation.
